I had a similar experience as others on here: food is consistently excellent with generous serving size, but service is iffy. I like the host guy who always greets people in Italian...but our waitress this time was really grumpy and condescending and treated us as if we were being too demanding by asking for cheese...she really upset me, made me want to leave, but the great food made up for it. I would def give this place at least four stars if it weren't for the iffy service we've generally had there (been like 5 times).

Newtown Square Italian eatery good by suburban standards. Ordered the arugula and goat cheese salad no dressing and bronzino. I guess I should've asked the prices as the salad $12 and bronzino $24 a little expensive for just better than average food. The fish lacked flavor and texture and was covered in squash slices. Next time I'll just ordered something off the menu. If there is a next time.

Ok..so lwriting about Fellinis in Newtown square. .went there tonight on recommendation of friends..food was very good...had brozino fish.. Very good...just not sure about the staff.....found waitress very condescending....and then the staff was giving us evil eyes for hanging on at table when they obviously wanted to go home ...but this was before 9:00 at night. ..felt very uncomfortable so probably won't go back

Best Italian restaurant in Newtown square. The service is excellent and the food is authentic! The pasta sauce is fresh and flavorful!

Booking cancelled by Fellinis two hours before dining, through an email, on valentines night. Phoned up and was told they have overbooked before the person hung up on me. Disgusting customer service.

Good: fresh food, simple ingredients, best food you will get in the area by far. BYOB. Generous portions. takeout is just as good. Bad (Not a deal breaker): Small. Tip: for diner, make reservations if you plan to dine in.

Went to Fellini's Cafe last night with my hubby. It was very good! We let the waiter, Max, know that we were dining there for the first time. He helped to guide us to some good choices. I had a Caesar salad (very basic) and he had a special arugula salad with grilled shrimp and eggplant. They were both very big salads and we could have easily split one. For our main course, I had the tagliatelle bolognese with a touch of cream and he had tagliatelle with muscles, squid and crab. Both were really good. I love the fact that it's a BYOB convenient to a liquor store and beer store (across the street). We've been searching for a good and reasonably priced Italian restaurant for a while and we finally found it! We'll definitely be back. Kudos to Max, too, for being a great waiter!

I was back again - and will return as often as possible although the food and service are sometimes uneven. Why? BYOB, of course...not to mention the fact that it is very convenient to my company's Philly office. The salads could benefit from less dressing. My husband and I both had the arugula salad, which is large and comes with large slices of soft parmesan pyramidding on top of the pile of lettuce. Fresh, good but I like the flavor of arugula and the dressing completely disguised it. The specials are always good and I order them more frequently than I order from the menu. My husband had the balsamic glazed grouper and pronounced it delicious - the glaze was both sweet and tart and the dish was accompanied by asparagus as well as a huge plate of vinegar. I had the raviolli special which was seafood raviolli in a cream sauce...good but not on the level of the grouper. That said, the ravioli is always good at Fellini.

Awesome place. If you like lasagna there is no other restaurant that compares. Service is on point and friendly. I love it when the owner/manager greets you, seats you and busses tables! Italian food at its best!

Only reason I came back was due to a gift card. Service was just as horrible as it was 3 years ago.

Arrived here last night with my party of 4 only to find out that I had made the reservation at another restaurant. I was panic stricken not knowing where we would be able to get dinner on a Saturday night. The manager quickly told me that he would figure out a way to get us seated. I wasn't sure if we would have to wait all night since there were many other people waiting. After a short wait he lead us to our table. We were promptly greeted by a friendly server who opened our wine and read us the specials. Three of us decide to try the fish special and were not disappointed. A few of us had dietary restrictions and were easily accommodated. The servings were large and delicious. At the end of our meal, the manager stopped by to check in. We assured him that everything was wonderful and we will definitely be back soon!

The food was delicious and staff was very friendly. So much food! I had the Capellini Rustica and my wife had the Ravioli Bolognese and both were great. We'll be back.

Mediocre food coupled by horrible service. Dined with my in-laws and 87 year old grandmother. I have never been to a restaurant that requested we leave to accommodate another reservation (less than a 2 hour meal!). We will never be back despite proximity to the main line.

Terrible customer service. Got our entire take out order wrong and when I called to inform them, they told me I was wrong about what they actually gave me. When asked if I wanted credit back I said yes and he asked for my name said he would remember me next time I came in and hung up. Always have an issue when I go there and ALWAYS are rude.

Came here on a Friday at 630pm. Good food for the price. Byob. Friendly staff. Quick service. The wait started to build around 7pm. The carbonara and lasagne were very tasty. They give you bruschetta. We would come back again.

My hubs and I wanted to go somewhere local due to the crappy weather we've been having lately. We arrived @ 6:30pm just in time for our reserved seating on Valentine's Day. I forgot that it was a byo, better luck next time. The restaurant is pretty small, but we were fortunate to get one of their booths :) They brought out complimentary bruschetta and bread...(bruschetta was blah, can't complain since it was free!) We ordered the following: Apps: fried calamari: The calamari was nothing to rave about---some of the breading was falling off the squid and you can taste the "warm" plain squid. The marinara needed seasoning. Prosciutto salad- needed more dressing mixed in the salad, otherwise, it was ok. Entrees: my hubs had their lasagna-- he said it was good. It looked very saucy, and I did take a bite--it was too drenched in sauce. I ordered the linguini with clams----I've definitely had better. The linguini was al dente and had pieces still stuck to each other, and I tasted some grittiness to the clams. It also needed a dash of salt to taste, otherwise all I tasted was garlic and butter. Dessert: I ordered the Tiramisu and a cappuccino. I guess this was the best part of my meal! Overall, i felt that we, along with the other patrons were rushed to finish our food and rushing us out of the restaurant. If they paid attention to detail in their quality of food instead of focusing on how much they can bring in that night, we would have had a better dining experience. Would I go back? probably not.

While we still prefer Fellini's in downtown Media (not sure if they are the same owner or not - but the menus are very similar) we had a good experience - especially with Jessica, our helpful, friendly server. Fellini's offers solid Italian (and lots of pasta) dishes. Salads and Antipasto are also good here. Crowded as heck on weekends - we squeaked in at 6:45 PM on a Saturday and somehow lucked out - there was a line to get in minutes later. Love the Chicken with Eggplant in Aurora sauce (rich and fattening - but so tasty.) Decaf cappuccino for dessert was spot-on! As said before - BYOB - can get noisy from drunk and happy customers. Carbo-load!

I had dinner here at 7PM on a Sunday. Made a reservation, although there were tables available. We were seated right away. I was extremely impressed with the variety of choices on the menu. Service was very quick, and we both enjoyed the dishes. Both the bruschetta and bread that was provided, along with the main dishes, were great and served promptly. I would definitely come again.

We made a last minute decision to come here and were not disappointed! The restaurant has about 40 seats and it quickly filled up for dinner. We ordered the special (chicken with crab meat) and it was very scrumptious! Service was attentive and quick. Portions are huge. We ordered one entree and one appetizer and this more than adequately fed us. The fried calamari was intense and was probably one of the best I have ever tasted!

Prior meals were much better than this past one. Barely cooked pasta and uninspired puttanesca sauce made for a barely average meal. Sand in the clams also was very dissappointing. Not sure if the chef changed as this was very different than prior meals. Will try once more, if no better then would likely not go back.

I wish I could give this place zero stars, as I was unable to dine here and offered zero options. My wife and I placed reservations on Opentable.com here for our Valentine's Day dinner at 6p 2 weeks in advance. I received a confirmation email from Opentable.com within minutes. Valentine's Day arrives and we show up at 5:50p, only to be alerted by the host that we do NOT have reservations. The host asks if we have a confirmation which I bring my phone out to show him and he stops me and says I do not as they do not take reservations on special occasions. Bewildered and confused, my wife and I leave, still in shock at what just happened. I grab my phone and see that a cancellation was indeed sent, but not until 5:18p that day!!! They cancelled our 2 week old reservation 42 minutes before our actual reservation time. I do not fault Opentable.com at all as the cancellation email I had specifically stated that Fellini's cafe cancelled the reservation. Needless to say I will not be returning and I urge all to consider that this establishment has no regard for their customers and may cancel your reservation on a whim if they see fit. I will NEVER be back.

I wish Fellini's didn't have 3.5 stars. They definitely deserve 4 stars or more. The food at Fellini's is delicious. I am guilty of ordering the same thing every time but that's just because I don't want to forgo my choices. First of all the antipasto appetizer is one of the best I've had. The dressing on the salad is enough to bring you back to the restaurant. All of the meats and cheeses are fresh and plentiful. This dish is enough for two to share. My main dish is pasta with shrimp, scallops, zucchini and tomatoes. The price of the dish is $18.50 and the portion is huge. The grated cheese they offer to put on the top is even better than other restaurants...very fresh. The owner and the waiters here are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is in a shopping center so there is no problem finding a parking spot, and it is a BYOB. I think it is one of the top choices in the area. You should go.

What a nice surprise today when my daughter and I stumbled across Fellini Cafe on a shopping trip to Newtown Square! We split an Insalate Mista that was very fresh and perfectly dressed. We then both ordered a lunch portion of pasta. The portion size was very generous, the smell mouth watering and both dishes just to die for! I can't wait to back to try more of the incredible selection of pastas and can't even imagine how good the pizzas must be! The owner was so attentive and hospitable, our waitress was very nice, it was a great experience overall. I would encourage anyone in the area to make this your " Go-To" spot for sure and I hope my travels will bring me back there again soon! What a treat! Thank you Fellini for a truly delicious lunch!

The long and the short of it: A romantic little BYOB in Newtown Square that hits the mark in several areas. Big portions at decent prices. You won't leave hungry! And now for a full review: I have been to this Fellini's Cafe and the one in Bryn Mawr several times and each time I've visited there have been some memorable moments...and there have been speed bumps that keep this place from reaching its full potential. On my latest visit this past Friday night, I made reservations for 730. My beautiful wife and I arrived right at 730. Although there were two vacant tables available, it took them at least 10 minutes or so to seat us. And when they did, they broke up a table for 6 instead of putting us at the 2 seater. Odd. Being out and away from the kids for a few hours, we wanted at least a little bit of privacy, instead of sitting next to (pretty much connected to) a table of four. We asked the manager if we could be moved to the 2 seater...he said fine. Another 5-10 minutes (too long!) later a member of the wait staff came and, without any indication as to his intentions, whisked up our bottle of wine and silverware and ran off to the other table. Not a problem, but some eye contact and a simple 'follow me please' with even a hint of a smile would have been lovely. We shrugged and just rolled with it. The interior is quaint, and the lighting is dim. It's a nice place for a romantic meal. But it is LOUD. So loud I would say this place is kid friendly despite being in such close quarters with your neighbors. Not sure if we'd ever try taking our four kids there (actually I'm certain we won't) but one or two can be done without much trouble. Our waitress was extremely polite and offered the energy and enthusiasm that our other friend lacked. For dinner, we ordered a caesar salad to share and for our main courses my wife opted for her usual tagliatelli with mushroom cream sauce and i had what i always have, the tortellini pasticiatti. Complimentary with the meal were two pieces of bruschetta (very nice) and a small loaf of crusty Italian bread, which is served with butter packets (which perhaps only I find strange for an Italian restaurant?). Overall the food was delicious, except for a few somewhat minor hiccups: 1. The caesar salad was served on a warm plate. The salad was excellent and would have been legendary had it been served on a chilled (or at least not warm!) plate. 2. I am pretty sure they used frozen peas in the tortellini dish, which is fine with me as long as you make sure the peas are thawed before you serve it! Only a few peas were not quite thawed, but it marred what was otherwise a perfectly crafted masterpiece of a dish. When we paid, the manager allowed us to use an expired gift card. That was a very nice gesture and one that required no push from us to induce. All in all, I'll keep visiting Fellini because it's relatively inexpensive and they do most everything well.

The manager/host at this location is RUDE and CLUELESS when it comes to Customer Service. About 6 weeks ago our party of 6 arrived for a 6:30 reservation and were told we had to wait. No problem. Well at the 20 minute mark one of our group went in to see the progress. This then turned into an argument with above mentioned manager/host. The manager/host then came outside to continue the argument with the member of our party. Thats right! The guy came outside to argue! Hey, the food is good. Takeout always prompt. But this guy needs a lesson in customer service.

My family and I came here for dinner on Christmas Eve last year. We were big fans of the Fellini's in Paoli, until it closed (sad story), so we were happy to find out that there was another location nearby (the Berwyn one was too small for us). We all loved our food- my only complaint was the caesar dressing on the salad, which had the consistency and flavor of glue (not that I sample glue on a regular basis). Other than that, everything was wonderful- it's pretty loud in here when it fills up, but that contributes to the pleasant and intimate atmosphere. My favorite dish has always been penne alla vodka (without the pancetta- it doesn't need it). The crabmeat salad is always a favorite in my family- we get two and split them.

The lovely wife and I stopped in for lunch last weekend. There were many different Panini's on the menu. Most around $7-$8. They are very very good and huge. In particular the bread is amazing. Our very nice waiter gave us a tip. Most of the time this bread is made and baked in house. If they get very busy they need to resort to purchased bread to keep up with the demand. Soooooo the next time you stop in, ask about the bread and if the stars are aligned enjoy an exceptional sandwich.

My wife and I stopped in on Saturday evening (5:30) with our 3 year old daughter. There were only two tables in the restaurant with customers so we had our pick of tables. We received our menus and found out they did not offer any children's menu. They did say they could do half-portions on some of the pasta. We asked about pizza as they advertise serving pizza on their front window and canopy. We were told that they only have it for lunch and take-out. We confirmed that yes they could and do make it, they just don't serve it in the restaurant and no exceptions would be made. We left saying we'd find a more family friendly restaurant. The owner (or at least the host as far as I could tell) followed us out to our car just to reiterate to us that they would not serve us pizza even though they could make it. What was the point to that? Seriously - you have a mostly empty restaurant and this is how you treat potential customers? If you have children don't bother with this place.

This little hole in the wall looking place from the outside is just amazing. The strip mall look out front hides a gem. The food is way, way above average and the service has always been good. The portions are a bit insane in size. You won't go away hungry. It is a great place to stop into when you want to get more than you expect.

Food is fantastic! First time, I got the pizza and a cesar salad - both were huge, so it was perfect to split. Second time was the mussels in red sauce; perfectly cooked and seasoned. It's a small, Italian establishment, vey cozy, and the staff is super friendly. The only reason I'm not giving this a 5-star rating is the pace of the staff. If you're in a rush, I wouldn't recommend this place. Otherwise, it's great!

Just had a terrible experience. The girl who poured water & brought out bread and apps was chomping on gum & blowing bubbles. I then noticed that more of the wait staff AND the owner were also chewing gum. This turned my stomach and couldn't finish my meal wondering if someone had accidentally spit in my food or what the heck was going on in the kitchen if this was being done in the dining room. When I approached the owner to tell him how gross & inappropriate this was, he didn't seem to care and blew me off. When my husband went up to pay, he told the owner he should think about what I said because it's unsanitary to be chewing gum and serving food. His response was "They're adults. I can't tell them what to do." Really?! Won't go back. Food was awful! I've had better Italian food at Olive Garden.

BYOB alert. Delicious food and huge portions, love it. Lunch sized pasta dishes are excellent and the choices are endless. Not in the mood for pasta? Try the paninis served with a side salad and chips. The salads are large to say the least, with a mound of grilled chicken or salmon on the top, there's really nothing to complain about. If it weren't in a shopping center and if it had outdoor seating, Fellini's would surely be receiving a 5 star rating from this girl.

This is a great spot for lunch. I have been there twice and also ordered take out before here. The Salmon Panini and the Arugula Salad are two of my favorite things on the menu. They usually have amazaing seasonal salads as well as a special. The next time I go I plan to try their pizza because they looked good also!

I will start with the good stuff.....The place was nice, seemed clean enough and the wait staff is VERY attentive. The prices are reasonable and the portions are in line with the prices. Overall the place is as others have described, its really small. I probably wouldnt want to eat here on a weekend being as though the place would get packed quite easily. As far as the food goes I would just say OK. To be honest I could definitley make better italian fare in my own kitchen. Now with that being said I have only eaten here once so I have no ideal how all the dishes fare. I had the grouper with wine sauce, grilled asparagus and roasted potatoes. As another reviewer pointed out the grouper was mushy and had way to much white wine sauce for my liking. So much sauce as if they were trying to hide the flavor of the fish. Also, my roasted potatoes were kind of greasy, kind of tasted like homefries. The asparagus was served grilled, it was firm but burnt. I love grilled veges however, I dont want to taste the burntness from the grill in my food. The bruschetta was good, but hey how can u go wrong with bruschetta.

My wife and I came here for our six month anniversary and we were very happy to say that we've found a great new restaurant! Atmosphere - Walking in to the restaurant, we were greeted to a delightful tuscan them with stucco stonework and marble looking tables. We were seated during dinner which was pretty busy, they have to move tables from the walls, as the diner behind me refused to move his chair in and gave me no room. No bother, we were able to move table back no problem. Staff - Our waiter was pleasant and had a heavy Italian accent. Specials sounded delicious, but we stuck with menu items. Multiple times we had staff come by to bring water and bruschetta. Check was handled by our waiter as well since we were confused where to pay. Food - Extremely good. I grew up in an Italian family, so Italian is always hard for me to not compare growing up. Started off with bruschetta which had thick wonderfully flavorful chunks of tomato. Olive oil and spices used were heavenly, we would have ordered this as an appetizer if it was available. I had the lasagna, which was on par with my grandmother's growing up. Rich cheeses and the perfect temperature coming out. Wife had Chicken Marsala which was also delicious. Way too much for one sitting, you'll get your money's worth on an entree. Intangibles - Restaurant should enforce a no children rule for dinner. Restaurant is small and there's no room for kids to wander around with thin aisles, yet while we were there, at least three families had brought kids under five who insisted on doing so. Parents should be more responsible, and I don't think this would be unreasonable on weekends for restaurant to make as a rule. Overall - We would definitely go back for dinner again, we have a wonderful experience and recommend for anyone who appreciates quality italian dishes. Restaurant just needs to firm up whether it is a family restaurant or fine dining, and they'll be a good place for foodies

Best Italian fare west of Roma. Not only is it reasonably priced, it is consistently outstanding. Call Manny, the owner, for reservations on their busy weekend nights because Fellini's is small, but is a hidden gem in Newtown Square. Great for lunch, greater for dinner if you bring a nice bottle of wine and nice company. Saturday nights are the busiest, so if you want a quieter, more leisurely experience go for lunch or dinner during the week. My favorite BYO in the western Philly suburbs! Do not take our table! You may become a regular!

Came on a Friday afternoon early, around 5:30pm, after a training class nearby. I'm from DC, so took a chance because every Italian place in the area got the same "awful"-"meh"-"awesome" conflicting reviews. We were SO glad we chose Fellini's! Special grilled peach salad was amazing - we recommended it to the table next to us. The complimentary bruschetta was fantastic, and prompted us to order a starter portion of that garlicky goodness, along with our shared main dish, chicken parm. A shared salad, shared bruschetta, and shared main were perfect for the two of us to not feel stuffed, but definitely satisfied. Large portions are a hallmark of Italian cooking, but everything was done perfectly here, and the veggies and salad were very fresh and flavorful. Our server - wish I could remember her name - was wonderful, funny, helpful, and not intrusive at all. She clearly knew the menu, and knew how to guide us to the right dish for us. I saw some negative reviews about the manager at this location, which is odd to me beause I talked to him on the way out, to compliment him on the grilled peach salad, and he was genuinely interested in what we thought. He told us it was only the second time he'd tried it, and no one was saying anything and he didn't know if that was good or bad... I mean, he's not a smiley kind of guy, for sure - and maybe he has a temper that wasn't on display early in the afternoon on a sunny fall day, but whatever the issue was for others, we have nothing but 100% positive things to say - we just wish it were closer to DC so we could go more often!

The family and I decided to try Fellini's Cafe last night...guided there by Mr Yelp: Steven B! The atmosphere is nice overall...it is a small space so you are fairly close to other tables. We had a 6:30 reservation and were sat immediately, but unfortunately it was at the table near the register and front door. Too much traffic around that spot plus a draft every time another customer entered. Warm bread and bruschetta was served immediately and was quite good. Our server greeted us but didn't seem overly happy, not sure if that is because we had our kids with us. He rambled off the specials while staring straight ahead and didn't make eye contact, was a little odd. My wife ordered the misto salad to start and chicken Marsala for her entree. I choose an appetizer special and veal Marsala and the kids split penne with meat sauce. The kids dinner came out in 5 minutes and before we even received our salad and app. I wish he would have asked if we want their food to come right away or wait and serve all of us together. On the bright side my daughters loved the pasta dish and both cleaned their plates. A few minutes later we were served. My appetizer was very good and had a nice presentation...it was a tower of roasted eggplant, tomato, portobello mushrooms and fresh mozzarella set on a bed of prosciutto and drizzled with balsamic vinegar. Kate's salad was simple and tasty but was overdressed and swimming in the dressing. Half way through our appetizers the entrees came out with sides of pasta. We scrambled to make room on the table to accommodate all of the plates. The portion of both veal and chicken was very generous and the Marsala sauce was delicious. The pasta was cooked al dente and was topped with a marinara sauce, also quite tasty. My veal was just about the most tender I have ever had! We could not finish all of our entrees and had the rest wrapped up. We thought about dessert but at this point there were numerous customers hovering around our table waiting to be sat. So we got the check and ended our dining experience. Overall the food was excellent, now that I know the layout I will ask for a booth or a table away from the front door. And the one area that could use some improvement is with the service...at least with the waiter we had. No one wants to feel rushed when they dine out. We will go back and hopefully not have that feeling next time.

Ive only been there three times but so far my time there has been GREAT! Yes definitely not a place to take kids because they have no menus for kids. I have two daughters so usually when i go i try to find babysitters & go there with my best friend just for a little lunch date to catch up. The food is wonderful, if i could stay & eat more i would! Service is good & my over all experience was that i liked everything. I would definitely go back!!

I have a severe shellfish and fish allergy and ate here last night. I am also vegan so I like to make it easy when going out and I simply got the Insalata Mista, which is not dinner size but I realize my options are limited. I of course confirmed all of this could be made vegan and allergy free before ordering with the waitress. She went back to kitchen to check and came back saying "absolutely", they can do it. I asked what was in the dressing and she said its just balsamic vinegar and oil. I thought ok, how can you mess up a salad? I felt satisfied enough, ordered, and we waited for the food to come. About half way through the salad my neck felt a little itchy, I thought it was my scarf so I took that off. Getting more itchy, I stopped eating thinking 'what is in this salad??' I called the waitress over to explain the exact ingredients in the salad dressing. She didn't know so she went to get a person from the kitchen staff. Five minutes later, some pompous Italian guy came over and slammed his big fists on the table and started talking really loud about the salad. No mind that we were in full conversation that he very rudely and abruptly interrupted. His tone started getting elevated as he exclaimed "the salad is fine" "I know what is vegan" and "no meat in salad dressing, only fish"(because fish ISN'T meat???? Oh, and I'm not allergic to it or anything!!!!!) I told him I was ALLERGIC to fish and shellfish and the waitress told me they could make it vegan/allergy free-and that I made this as clear as humanely possible to the idiot waitress who either didn't bother to communicate this to the kitchen staff or didn't take the allergy seriously. His response to this "Don't come to my restaurant with allergy! You eat at home!" Yes, you read correctly... that is what this prick said to me. I told him to "stop yelling in our faces and get OFF of our table." WHAT A POS!!!!!!!!! He also had said the dressing had honey-mustard, which is NOT vegan. I wasn't very concerned about it at that point as I wasn't sure how much fish I had ingested and if my reaction would get worse. I did not end up having to use my Epi pen but did take 3 Benadryl when we got in the car (which is a lot for me!!!) :( This was HORRRRRIIIBBBBLLLLLEEEEEEE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!! If you have ANY severe allergies, are vegetarian, or vegan DON'T go here!! Oh, and this prick needs to go to BEHAVIORAL SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really disappointed. We had been to the Fellini's in Media and loved our experience and were sadly disappointed with the sister location in Newtown Square. We had reservations for 7pm and were not seated until 7:25. We brought a bottle of Pino Grigio, which they never offered to chill for us (instead a glass of ice was brought to the table). Our waitress was very sweet, and equally scattered. While she was taking our order she was waving to people in the parking lot... 3 out of our 4 dinners were wrong when they eventually came out to the table. I had asked for a subsitution of alfredo sauce on my pasta special, which instead came out as a super oily butter sauce that was tasteless. The silver lining of my meal were the mussels and clams; they were great and super fresh. However, I doubt we'll ever be back.

Let me say this was one of the best Wednesday night dionners I have had in a long time. The brochetta which came out first was tasty jucy and spiced just right and the bread underneath was crisp and not soggy at all. Menu is robust and there were four of us. No uncorking fee which was nice. The seafood salad was a huge cone of shrimp, calamari, muscles all hiding a bit of lettuce underneath. The muscles in white sauce were tender and not overdone. The muscels could have been a bit larger. Main courses were flavorful and generous. The wait staff was attentive but not overbearing. Water always being filled as was the bread plate. They are used to their clients bringing hom the left overs and are prepared for it. The next day everything still tasted great.

I had lunch (panini Fellini is delicous!) here with a friend and it was a good experience. The servers were attentive but didn't keep it from feeling like a casual restaurant. I plan on returning!

Our reservation of 11 ate the this anti-customer restaurant last night. We came to celebrate a birthday of a friends daughter (19th). The restaurant knew this before hand and we asked the waiter to keep the the birthday cake we brought safe while we ate. The meal went smooth and the service was good. Everyone was having a great time. At dessert time we were informed we could not present the cake to the birthday lady. We were mystified and let the manager know that we would also order a la carte desserts. The manager who claimed to be the owner was rude and said that we could not have the birthday cake. All we heard was "no", and the manager got so rude we asked for the check immediately. We chose to pay in full, but not tip. When the manager saw this, he became verbally abusive to our entire party and told us never to come back. I say to this non-service oriented establishment, YES, none of us will ever be back.

I really enjoy this place. The ambiance is great! Soft Italian music playing in the background, great decor, and the guy that takes the orders smells GREAT! I've only tried one thing from here... The Tortellini, with ham, peas and baked mozzarella. It is DELICIOUS!!! I get the lunch portion which is more than enough for me. It is creamy and very filling.

My first and only time eating at Fellini's was a few weeks ago for a lunch with a client, and we had a very nice experience there. She was a regular, and told me that they had just re-opened after completing a full renovation, and the place really does look great! They have an extensive menu, especially considering it was lunchtime. You can pretty much name your pasta and your sauce and get it there. Every lunch (and I'm assuming dinner) comes with a house salad that has an AMAZING balsamic vinaigrette. I would have ordered that salad as a meal it was so good. I got gnocchi with fresh diced tomatoes, and she got fettucine with bolognese sauce. We both loved our meals and left with doggie bags for later. I've been told that Fellini's is owned by the same person who owns Trattoria Giuseppe down the street in Newtown Square, and I have had an equally positive experience there. Fellini's is much smaller but the food is almost exactly the same.

went to fellinis last night to get a quick plate of pasta. the gravy was good and hot, the presentation was like other italian restaurants.....a large plate of pasta. My wife likes to stop there once a month because of their specials. I like to bring a good italian wine and have a bowl of pasta. they are consistant with their food. sometimes service is a little slow and last night waas again slow.

What a friendly, fantastic restaurant. Good service to match the delicious food. Try the Roasted Artichoke appetizer (not on the menu) and the chocolate souffle finishes it nicely. Reasonably priced too!

When I want some good comforting Italian food, I go to Cafe Fellini. Food is good, their pastas are nicely and consistently al dente like they are supposed to be, they sauce and marinara are good. A good, and solidly consistent neighborhood Italian restaurant. Watch out the portions are very generous. And byob, of course...

Great price, food, and service! Strikes me as more of a lunch place, cozy it comfortable. Quite large portions, with hi quality. I'll be back.

Food is still good. However manager needs to be dumped before the locals dump the restaurant. Don't need to hear about a $5.00 sharing charge. Or being told it's time to leave. Owner needs to show up or get in or start a new business.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
